The Henderson Fund is the primary vehicle through which alumni provide support to the university. It is “always REDDIE” and enables Henderson’s leaders the flexibility to meet a variety of needs.
Directed Gifts
You may choose to designate your gift to a specific school or program, scholarship, or priority area at the university. When you make a directed gift to Henderson, you enjoy the satisfaction of knowing your gift is supporting a program that is personally meaningful for you.
Endowments
Endowments are the gifts that keep on giving. An endowed fund is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding. Endowment assets are invested, and each year, the interest generated from the fund is used to support the fund’s purpose. When you establish an endowment , you create a permanent legacy of support for Henderson State University.
There are three types of endowment funds:
Endowed Scholarship Funds ($25,000)
Endowed Scholarships make attending Henderson State University a reality for numerous students each year. This type of endowment opportunity means Henderson can award scholarships that help worthy students who need financial assistance.
Endowed Professorships ($250,000) and Endowed Chairs ($500,000)
Endowed Professorships and Endowed Chairs allow Henderson to attract and retain distinguished faculty members. The recipients, who are chair-holders, are recognized for personal achievements in their respective fields. These funds offer assurance that Henderson supports quality collegiate instruction.
Endowed Programs
Programmatic Endowments help a specific program and allow Henderson to remain on the forefront of academic excellence.
