Create projects – The MultiMedia Learning Center is a great place to create your class projects. Not only are there large tables to spread your creations, but we carry many supplies at low costs for your convenience. We also keep a large selection of Ellison/Accucut Dies that can be used for making posters, bulletin boards, “Big Books” for teachers, science projects, etc. We have scrapbook size dies, too.
Borrow equipment – The MMLC carries audio/visual equipment that is available for loan to Henderson faculty, staff and students only. Students will need a faculty sponsor and signature. Please stop by to pick up the form.
Audio-visual services – DVD, CD and tape duplication is available for non-copyrighted material. Some media conversions can be made. Check with Jim Wilhelm. For on-campus event setup with mics, speakers, recording, etc., be sure to include media on your site planning form through the Garrison Center.
Large posters and photos – Large format printing up to 42 inches by several feet is available by request. This printing requires special expertise and we need a minimum of 3 days and sometime more (depending on the project) to complete your order. Prices depend on the paper used, the ink coverage and the amount of design required from our digital artist.
Use the computers – Also at the Center is a full service computer lab that includes software support from our skilled student workers. Our computers are equipped with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Professional (writer), Photoshop, Illustrator, Go Live and In Design. These programs can be used for creating websites, writing papers, desktop publishing, brochures, posters, etc., slide show presentations and much more. All the computers include a scanner. Some include photo printers and all can print to a color laser printer. Our staff is always on hand to answer your questions.
Other equipment – Several types of equipment are setup for your use. There is a laminator, paper folder, test grader, hole punch (drill press style), paper cutters, button makers, comb binder and a copy machine. We will show you how to use them all.
Welcome – Bring your own supplies, or purchase those available here. With the exception of the large format printing, we will teach you how to use the equipment so you can be as creative as your imagination will allow.
