Worth reaches milestone in baseball research

Dr. Fred Worth, professor of mathematics at Henderson State, is an avid baseball researcher who often focuses on statistical topics. But  his main interest is documenting  the burial sites of Major League baseball players. It’s a practice that he’s been doing for many years. Earlier this year, Worth visited his 5000th baseball related-grave, which happened to be the burial site of the great Yogi Berra. He has added 33 more burial sites since that milestone. Worth is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, and has written a book entitled College Mathematics Through Baseball.  VIEW VIDEO
