World War I Centennial Display

April 18, 2017 by Susie Kirk

Huie Library is currently showing a display from the library special collections entitled Arkansas Remembers the “Greatest of All Wars” WWI Centennial, 1917-2017 on the first floor.

This display uses images from newspapers (including the Arkansas Gazette), political cartoons, and propaganda posters to give a brief introduction to the causes of America’s entrance into World War I, which took place 100 years ago this month.

A future display will look more closely at the six Reddies who died in the war.

For more information about this display and future special collections display, contact Ken Angell.
