Williamson co-authors third book

Dr. Paul Williamson, professor of psychology at Henderson State University, has co-authored a book about spiritual transformation that will be released this month.

Psychology and Spiritual Transformation in a Substance Abuse Program: The Lazarus Project is the most recent of three books Williamson has co-authored since joining Henderson in 2003.

The book presents the results of an independent five-year study on spiritual transformation at a 12-month residential program called the Lazarus Project — an agency that takes a Pentecostal faith-based approach to dealing with substance abuse.

Williamson’s other books are Them That Believe: The Power and Meaning of the Christian Serpent Handling Tradition, and The Psychology of Religious Fundamentalism.
