Will Eisner Week is held yearly on the week of March 6th – Will Eisner’s birthday. This week is a celebration that promotes graphic novels, literacy, and the legacy of Will Eisner.
To celebrate, Huie Library has two exhibits on display. First, there is an informative display on the first floor on the female characters in Will Eisner’s life and fiction. This display was created in conjunction with Dr. Randy Duncan’s class – Graphic Novel Seminar: Women in Comics. In the Greene Room (which houses our graphic novel collection), you can find some of Huie Library librarians’ favorite comics and graphic novels written by women.
In addition to the display, you can enter to win a comics bundle by answering a piece of Will Eisner trivia at the library circulation desk.
For more information on Will Eisner Week, please feel free to contact Dr. Randy Duncan.
