Dr. Michael Ray Taylor, chair of the communication and theatre arts department, recently interviewed novelist Clyde Edgerton for the Tennessee-based publications Chapter 16 and The Nashville Scene.
Edgerton, who is the Thomas S. Kenan III Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing at UNC Wilmington, is the author of 10 novels, three of which — Raney, The Floatplane Notebooks, and Walking Across Egypt — have been made into films.
Taylor also introduced a talk Edgerton gave Oct. 17 at the 29th Southern Festival of Books in Nashville.
Another author speaking at the festival was Kristen Radtke, a graphic novelist whose recent memoir, Imagine Wanting Only This, was reviewed by Taylor for the same two publications.
