Henderson State University celebrated the grand reopening of the Reddie Café Aug. 23 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, food and entertainment.
Located in the Garrison Center next to Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks and the Reddie Grill, the Reddie Café was renovated this summer to provide students a more contemporary atmosphere to eat and relax.
Flat-screen televisions were installed, along with numerous electrical outlets and charging stations for personal devices. New furniture includes tables, chairs and booths. A small stage was also constructed. The walls were decorated with large canvas photographs displaying various aspects of campus life.
The Reddie Grill has been rebranded and features an extended menu, including Hibachi specials on Tuesdays and Fridays. Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks and the Reddie Grill are now open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. They close at 6 p.m. on Fridays.
