Programs receive national recognition

May 17, 2017 by Steve Fellers

Programs receive national recognition

Henderson State University’s English education program has received full national recognition from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

Recognition like this one from NCTE strengthens Henderson State’s case for CAEP accreditation. CAEP accreditors will visit the campus in Spring 2018.

In addition to the NCTE recognition, Henderson State’s Master of Science in Education – Educational Leadership (principal licensure) program has received full national recognition from the Educational Leadership Constituent Council.

“Preparing program assessments and analyzing data for rigorous program review take time and teamwork,” said Dr. Celya Taylor, dean and licensure officer for Teachers College, Henderson. “Seeking and obtaining national recognition proves that Henderson faculty are committed to designing, implementing and continuously improving candidate preparation in all areas of education.”
