Program recognized for affordability

Program recognized for affordability

Henderson State University’s online educational leadership master’s program has been recognized by AffordableColleges.com as one of the top 30 affordable programs of its type in the United States.

“With thousands of degree programs out there, an increasing number of higher education institutions are emphasizing affordability as a way to attract financially-minded students,” according to the website. “Often, students opt for the most inexpensive program they can find, without taking a holistic account of the quality and value of the school.

“With this in mind, we at AffordableColleges.com have designed a sophisticated methodology to serve as a reliable indicator of quality, affordability, and student success.”

“Teachers in our educational leadership courses have the power to redefine what it means to be in class,” said Dr. Celya Taylor, dean of Teachers College, Henderson. “Whether staying in their own classroom after school, sitting behind their desk at work, or connecting from a home office, teachers can interact with experienced faculty through synchronous course activities, lectures, and student presentations that are delivered using cutting-edge educational technology.”

Henderson’s Educational Leadership Program offers Master of Science in Education (MSE) and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees, as well as programs of study for building level and district level administrative licenses. The EDL programs at Henderson prepare graduate students for senior level educational administration positions.
