Olivia Moore crowned Miss HSU

Olivia Moore, a sophomore biology major from Gurdon, was crowned 2017 Miss Henderson State University Feb. 16. Moore also won the overall talent competition, the Academic Achievement award, People’s Choice award, and was the Violet Fields Instagram winner. She will now prepare to compete in the Miss Arkansas Pageant this summer.

Ashley Marx of Texarkana, Arkansas, was first runner-up. Arielle Michael of Bismarck was second runner-up and won the Overall Lifestyle and Fitness award. Jeana Lovett of Waldron was third runner-up and received the Spirit of Miss HSU award. Adrienne Prince of Glen Rose was fourth runner-up.

Skyla Weeks of Highland was named Miss Congeniality.

More than $10,000 in scholarships and awards was presented.
