Miss HSU Pageant Feb. 25
Seven Henderson State University students will vie for the title of Miss HSU 2016 at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 in Arkansas Hall. The pageant will feature swimsuit, evening gown and talent competitions, and is a preliminary event for the Miss Arkansas Pageant.
The 2016 contestants are:
• Dominique Walker, a sophomore psychology major from Blytheville, who will sing I was here.
• Arielle Michael, a sophomore pre-pharmacy major from Bismarck, who will perform Lay Me Down in sign language.
• Shae Rogers, a junior marketing major from Foreman, who will perform a speed painting entitled Glory.
• Robin Campbell, a senior middle level education major from Pine Bluff, who will sing On My Own.
• Mariah Brown, a first year graduate student from Little Rock majoring in clinical mental health counseling, will tap dance to Dancing Machine.
• Madison McCaslin, a junior psychology major from Jackson, Tennessee, will present a lyrical performance of If My Friends Could See Me Now.
• Hailey Freeman, a junior English major from Camden, will perform a dramatic reading of Hamlet’s “First Soliloquy.”
Entertainment will be provided by 2015 Miss HSU Brooke Cornelius, Miss Arkansas Loren McDaniel, Claire Howard, Tanner Oglesby, Lisa Ridgeway, Caleb Williams, Jennifer Wright, and members of the HSU Dance Company.
Ricki Rebollar, a graduate student at Henderson, will serve as host. Admission is free and open to the public.
