Military Appreciation Day Oct. 15

Henderson State University will honor veterans on Saturday, Oct. 15, during Military Appreciation Day events at the Wells Center and Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.

The HSU Vietnam Memorial Scholarship will be presented at 10 a.m., followed by a military/ROTC tailgate leading up to the football game at 2 p.m. when the Reddies take on the University of Arkansas-Monticello Bollweevils.

All veterans and family members will be admitted free to the game.

The U.S. Army Reserve and Arkansas National Guard will provide several displays, and approximately 300 JROTC cadets from around the state are expected to attend.

The events are open to the public.
