Lett receives excellence award
Catherine Lett, administrative specialist for the Communication and Theatre Arts Department, has received Henderson State University’s Staff Award of Excellence for the second quarter of the 2016-17 school year.
The program provides the opportunity for the university to recognize staff contributions and services to Henderson. The honor is awarded four times a year.
Lett’s nomination letter reads: “Cathy is instrumental in the success of our department. She works well with both our faculty and other faculty around campus to ensure that our department is doing the best it can to provide for our students.
“Her creativity and initiative have been instrumental in advancing the mission of our department. She is always willing to help plan and execute special events to reach out to students or spread the word about the resources we offer. Not only does her work impact our department, it also has a long-lasting impact on Henderson as a whole.”
Honorees receive $100, a Henderson polo shirt, an award certificate presented during a surprise visit from Henderson President Glen Jones and the departmental vice president, and lunch with the president. Quarterly winners are also eligible for the President’s Annual Staff Excellence Award, which includes an additional $500.
