Leible named employee of the year

Allen Leible, field station manager for Henderson State University’s Simonson Biological Field Station, has been named the university’s 2015 Employee of the Year. Representatives from Henderson’s Staff Senate, faculty and staff from the biology department, and others surprised Leible with the announcement May 29 at the field station.

Leible was presented a customized director’s chair. He will be honored at a reception June 18, 2-4 p.m., at the Newberry House. Leible will represent Henderson at the Arkansas State Employees Association banquet later this year.

Leible is responsible for managing the facility, associated equipment, and 104 acres of wooded land running on a daily basis. He also schedules events and works directly with university personnel and the public.
