Katchen’s art on display through Feb. 24

“The Art of Carole Katchen, A Forty-Year Retrospective,” will be on display through Feb. 24 at Henderson State University’s Russell Fine Arts Gallery. The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Katchen, who lives in Hot Springs, has been a professional artist for more than 40 years, painting and teaching art in several countries including China and Africa.  She also has oils and pastels that have been exhibited throughout the U.S. and across the world.

Katchen has received numerous awards and honors, and has written 14 art books that have been published in English, French, Dutch, German, and Chinese.
