Huie Library Women’s History Month events

The month of March is National Women’s History Month. Henderson State University is celebrating with a variety of women’s history themed events that are free and open to the public.

Huie Library and Friends of Huie Library will be hosting a few of those events.

Throughout the month, Huie Library will feature book displays on topics such as women in labor and business, women in comics, women in science, and more. Those can be found on the first floor of Huie Library.

On March 7, there will be a Brown Bag Lunch and Learn with Mary Jo Mann, where she will discuss Henderson Women and Heart and Key. This will take place at noon in the Huie Library classroom.

On March 14, there will be a Brown Bag Lunch and Learn with Dr, Allison Vetter, where she will discuss the history of Title IX. This will take place at noon in the Huie Library classroom.

On March 28, there will be a book discussion on Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe at 6 PM in the Huie Library Classroom.
