Henshaw receives theatre teaching award

William Henshaw, professor of theatre arts at Henderson State, was presented the 2015 Oscar G. Brockett Teaching Award by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology-Southwest Region. Henshaw received the award in March at the USITT national conference in Cincinnati.

Known throughout the world as a theatre historian, Brockett exemplified the field of research and education. As a Guggenheim fellow and Fulbright scholar, he made the teaching of theatre his life’s work.

Henshaw has been a national member of USITT since 1991.
