Henderson welcomes new faculty

Henderson State University welcomed 14 new faculty members for the 2016 fall term, which began Aug. 22.

The new faculty includes:

• Tricia Baker, state science specialist, STEM Center

• Shikha Batra, lecturer of sociology, Department of Sociology and Human Services

• Nick Erber, assistant professor of counselor education, Department of Counselor of Education

• Steven Knight, director of bands and assistant professor of music, Department of Music

• Lisa Martin, laboratory/greenhouse technician, Department of Biology

• Marc Miller, School of Business dean

• Deepak Pant, director of Writing Center, Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Philosophy

• Sharon Paredes, instructor of mathematics, Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences

• Bradley Sheppard, TK20 unit administrator/instructor, Teachers College, Henderson

• Jennifer Sigman, director, Center of Student Excellence, School of Business

• Lori Smith, lecturer of nursing, Department of Nursing

• William Smith, education specialist/counselor, Educational Opportunity Center

• Shari Valentine, assistant professor of human services/sociology, Department of Sociology and Human Services

• Julie Williams, assistant professor of curriculum and instruction, Department of Curriculum and Instruction
