Henderson staff honored for years of service

Staff employees at Henderson State University were honored for years of service during a luncheon and awards ceremony held May 24.
Dorothy Newborn, a fiscal support technician for the business office, was honored for 30 years of service to Henderson. Cathy Bell, assistant controller, and Pam Shuffield, financial aid analyst, were honored for 25 years.
Recognized for 20 years were: Terry Clark, library technician; Katrina Rogers, library technician; Emma Lou May, assistant director for the Educational Opportunity Center; Jennifer Holbrook, director of instructional technology and the Multimedia Learning Center; Dana Holder, administrative specialist for University Relations and Admissions.
Receiving awards for 15 years of service were: Debbie Coomer, accountant; Beverly Quillin, assistant director for the Disability Resource Center; George Finkle, online learning services coordinator; Karen Spradlin, accountant.
Recognized for 10 years were: Christi Davis, administrative specialist; Kris Dunn, director of campus recreation; Steve Fellers, multimedia content strategist; Zakia Watson, network support analyst; Jim Wilhelm, information systems analyst; Millie Bowden, administrative specialist; Yvonne Saul, advancement placement coordinator for development; Pam Bax, director of TRIO programs; Netta Morris, director of testing center.
For five years of service, the following staff were recognized: Ashlee Dixon, admissions counselor; Michelle Champagne, student health services nurse; Allen Leible, biology field station manager; Jan Bullock, administrative specialist; Donna Hogan, administrative specialist.
Recent retirees were also recognized, including: Bobby Jones, vice president for finance and administration; David Epperhart, director of computer and communication services; and Vicki Taylor, director of financial aid.
