Henderson spring commencement May 8
Spring commencement ceremonies will be held at Henderson State University Friday, May 8, with more than 400 undergraduate and graduate students receiving their degrees.
The ceremony for School of Business and Teachers College, Henderson, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Wells Center gymnasium, followed at 6 p.m. by the ceremony for the Ellis College of Arts and Sciences.
Faculty charges will be presented by: Dr. Jennifer Zarzosa, assistant professor of marketing, and Dr. Renn Tumlison, professor of biology. Student responses will be given by Rachel Lee, a marketing major from Roland, and Seth Eiland, a biology major from Camden.
The candidates for graduation will be presented by: Dr. Steve Adkison, provost and vice president for academic affairs; Dr. Kenneth Taylor, dean, graduate school; Dr. Judy Harrison, dean, Teachers College, Henderson; Dr. Brenda Ponsford, dean, School of Business; and Dr. John Hardee, dean, Ellis College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Glen Jones, Henderson president, will confer the degrees. Dr. Robert Steinmiller, professor emeritus of Communication, is the official announcer.
