Henderson short film festival Jan. 29

May 17, 2017 by Steve Fellers

Henderson short film festival Jan. 29

Henderson State University will host a short film festival from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Arkansas Hall Studio Theatre.

The festival will include about 10 films created by Henderson students and faculty, along with selections from the Arkansas Shorts Festival that were screened recently in Hot Springs.

“These short films showcase the beauty of Arkansas in some way and add to the emerging filmmaking community we have in the state,” said Paul Glover, associate professor of communication at Henderson. “You will find entertainment and unique personalities in these films, and it is exciting to know that your neighbor may have made the film. Come on out and enjoy an evening of fun and little bit of the weird.”

Glover said his film, Camp Howl, is a horror film that serves as a tribute to all bad horror films from the 1980s.

The festival is free and open to the public, but some content may not be suitable for younger viewers.
