Henderson Named Top Affordable Small College
Henderson State University has been named one of the nation’s top 100 affordable small colleges by Best Value Schools.
Henderson was ranked No. 11 on the list provided by the online resource for students seeking information on college cost and value.
BestValueSchools.com evaluates schools on their ability to provide the best overall value for a student’s educational dollar, the most available financial aid and assistance, the greatest support and service for the student, and the highest return on investment through employment.
For its Affordable Small College ranking, BestValueSchools identified four-year colleges and universities that enroll 4,000 or fewer students. The colleges that fit in that category were then ranked on their “net price,” which come from College Navigator (a component of the National Center for Education Statistics).
“These 100 colleges cover an attractive range of academic majors, religious affiliations, locations, and extracurricular opportunities,” BestValueSchools said, “practically guaranteeing that you can find a school that fits your interests, budget, and desire for a close-knit community.”
