Henderson named a best value online school
Henderson State University has been ranked third in Arkansas among the 10 best value online schools by Best Value Schools. The ranking was published on the organization’s website in October.
For this ranking, the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) were used to determine the top 10 best value online schools. To be eligible, at least 15 percent of the student body must be enrolled in some or all distance education coursework. The following factors were considered in this ranking:
• average undergraduate graduation rates
• in-state tuition rates
• range and variety of online class offerings
• stability (established division of online learning? How long has the school been offering distance programs?)
• overall effort to promote and/or expand virtual classroom initiatives
