Henderson homecoming Oct. 26-29

Henderson State University will celebrate homecoming with a variety of events beginning Oct. 26, and culminating with a key football game against Oklahoma Baptist University Oct. 29.

A highlight of homecoming week will be the Distinguished Alumni Banquet honoring professional golfer Ken Duke and recently-retired Henderson vice president Bobby Jones. The banquet starts at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Garrison Center Grand Ballroom. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 870-230-5401 or emailing hankinp@hsu.edu.

Thursday, Oct. 27

•           Homecoming Top 10 Voting

•           Presentation of homecoming queen candidates, 7 p.m., Arkansas Hall

•           Top 10 announcement and pep rally following candidate presentation, Barkman House lawn

•           Blue and White Fellowship (Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi Beta), 7:30 p.m., Western Sizzlin

•           Homecoming drumbeat, 8 p.m. until kick-off Saturday

•           Homecoming queen voting

•           H Club Homecoming 4-person Golf Scramble, 11 a.m., DeGray Lake Resort Golf Course

•           Alpha Kappa Alpha Meet and Greet, 5-10 p.m., Garrison Center Ross Room

•           Distinguished Alumni Banquet, 6:30 p.m., Garrison Center Grand Ballroom
