Guest trombonist to perform Sept. 17
Internationally renowned trombonist Peter Ellefson will present a guest recital at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in Henderson State University’s Russell Fine Arts recital hall. He will be accompanied on piano by Dr. May Tsao-Lim, associate professor of music at Henderson.
Ellefson will also give a master class at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 in the recital hall. Both events are free and open to the public.
Ellefson is a professor of music at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music where he is chair of the brass department. He has performed, recorded and toured internationally with the Chicago Symphony and the New York Philharmonic. Ellefson has also performed with many other orchestras and has recorded music for more than 100 motion picture, television and video game soundtracks.
