Free tax help available on campus

Henderson State University and the Central Arkansas Development Council are teaming up to provide free income tax assistance on campus through April 16. CADC tax preparers will be in Huie Library from noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday with the exception of the Saturdays before and after spring break, March 19 and 26.

The service will be provided through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.  The VITA program offers free tax help to those who generally make $53,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English speakers.

Appointments are required. Call 870-867-0151. Clients will need to bring a photo ID, social Security cards, (including dependents), and all tax documents such as W-2s and 1099s.
