Dance Company performances April 26-28

Henderson State Theatre and Dance will present three performances of Dance Company in Concert beginning April 26. Original works choreographed by students, guest artists and director Jennifer Maddox will be performed.

The 12-member student dance company will show its diverse abilities through choreography and performance. Guest artist Mayte Natalio set a contemporary piece, With a Little Help, to the music of Sam Smith. Maddox set Root Comforts, a contemporary piece about the human condition, to the music of Max Richter. Maddox is Henderson’s artist in residence.

Performances are April 26 at 2:30 p.m., April 27 at 7:30 p.m., and April 28 at 7:30 p.m. and are open to the public. Admission is $8, and free for Henderson students with ID.
